Johnny Semaan
Johnny Semaan is a Syrian artist born in Latakia, currently in Lebanon. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Damascus in 2007.
He was then an instructor at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Tishreen University in Lattakia. He obtained his Master of Fine Arts at the Lebanese University of Beirut in 2019.
Johnny also received the 2019 Boghossian Foundation Prize for Painting in Lebanon. He has taken part in a number of individual and collective exhibitions both locally (in Syria and Lebanon) and internationally.
In his work, he is interested in human anatomy, where he explores topics related to human nature and social life.
