Charles Leblanc

Charles Leblanc, born in Valleyfield, Quebec, grew up surrounded by art, inspired by his father’s talent as a lettering artist. At the age of 16, he began his journey as a painter.

After completing his studies in graphic design, Leblanc embarked on a career in the advertising industry as a layout man and illustrator. Quickly making a name for himself, and established his own graphic arts studio. Three decades later, his expertise as an art director, recognized by his peers, fueled his desire to unleash his lifelong passion for painting.

Leblanc, a self-taught artist, pours his love for life and his favorite things onto the canvas. Guided by his emotions, he employs a vibrant color palette, seamlessly transitioning between figurative and abstract styles. His bold and expressive strokes have become an unmistakable signature in the art world.

In 2010, a lunch with his childhood friend Jacques Rousse ignited a spark within Leblanc. Inspired by their conversation, he pursued his dream of becoming a professional painter. From that moment forward, his passion for painting led him to abandon his computers in favor of brushes, oil paints, and canvases.

This resurgence of a long-suppressed passion revealed an artist in full command of his talents. Leblanc’s energetic brushstrokes, vivid colors, and masterful graphic skills coalesce brilliantly across the themes he addresses in his works.
