Maria Isabel Rodriguez’s work explores life’s profound essence and enduring beauty, even in adversity. Her art passionately captures vibrant colors and rhythmic forms, particularly through conceptual floral representations. Growing up in a conflicted home environment in Guatemala and navigating the challenges of mental health within her family, Rodriguez discovered the transformative power of art as a source of solace and freedom.

As an immigrant to Canada, her experiences shaped her artistic journey, inspiring her to rediscover herself through the spontaneous expression of paint on canvas. Mostly self-taught, Rodriguez transitioned from a successful fashion illustration and textile design career to a dedicated fine arts practice.

Her work is widely recognized, featuring in local art galleries, international publications, and private collections worldwide.
